Who Rocks the blonde better Miley or Pink

image from http://www.stylebistro.com/Best+Worst+Dressed+-+2012+MTV+VMAs/articles/CkfsdSPIzib/Pink+wears+Stella+McCartney

Of course I'm a fan of the blonde hair...but who's rocking this short cut better at the VMA's Pink or Miley?

There was such an uproar when Miley cut her hair and Pink has been sporting this look for years.

I vote Pink how about you!!!

Tips, Tricks and Tidbits ...5 Tips to give you healthy, vibrant skin!!

Develop a regular skin care regimen.

You need to first determine what type of skin you have; oily, dry, normal or combination.  From there, find a skin care regimen best for you.  If you need assistance then consult a local esthetician or skin care expert.

                Exfoliate…Exfoliate…Exfoliate

It is so important to get rid of dead skin; use a gentle exfoliant at least twice a month.  This will give you a wonderful glow and allow your make up to lay correctly on your skin.

               Hydrate

I cannot stress it enough; make sure you are drinking plenty of water; hydrated skin equals happy and health skin.

                Remove blackheads and whiteheads properly

As much as you want to, DO NOT pop those pimples.  It may cause scarring or allow the affected area to spread.  Properly treat and remove pimples; if you need assistance consult a skin care expert; or in the case of extreme acne a dermatologist.

            Use SPF

We all need protection from the sun and any environmental damage that can be caused to or sensitive skin; make sure you are using an moisturizer or product containing SPF…you’ll thank me in 10 years!!!

Emily B's Make Up All Star Weekend

Recently I had the opportunity of doing Emily B (reality star of Love and Hip Hop) make up and hair for All Star Weekend in Orlando, FL.
I love this picture of her with Amber Rose from Friday night, we have her long loose wavy curls and a natural eye with a heavier creme liner, we kept her blush matte and hue was natural soft brown with a pop of pink on the balls of her cheek. We used on of our studio 277 cosmetic favorites Fuschia Fever to give her lips that extra uummmppphhh to last all night.
Until next time Stay FABulous.

Luscious Lips

My Recent trip to Las Vegas totally dried out my lips...uuuuurrrr.
What do you do to keep moisture locked in your luscious lips in extremely dry weather?
First off HYDRATE...HYDRATE...HYDRATE.
Increase your intake of water.
Also use a lip moisturizer, preferably something with jojoba or vitamin e.
NOT JUST VASELINE, petroleum jelly coats the lips it does not penetrate.
A good sign that your lip balm or moisturizer is effective is if you feel a slight tingle!!!
Also don't forget or be scared to use a lip scrub to get off that excess skin.
I hope this helps....
Until Next Time.

Can Any Women Wear Red Lipstick

Just the other day one of my clients asked me can women of color wear red lipstick....PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME USE PROFANITY!!!!
The answer is "HAYLE" yes!!!
First of all let’s think out of the box ladies....red does not always have to look like Ronald McDonald. There are various shades of red which include deeper burgundy shades that are red based.
Try a liner that is darker blend it out and use a deeper, cooler blue based red or cool red. Your gloss can make an impact as well use a plum or burgundy gloss on top of a red lipstick or do the reverse use a deep plum lipstick with a brighter lip gloss.
Still not sure, take a look at our red alert blog to get some ideas and if all else fails schedule your private make up consultation today.
Until next time!!!
