Studio 277 make up looks for Raw Orlando

Working with one of my favorite designers Hadascha for Raw Orlando  Studio 277 Cosmetics sponsored the models for her nomination award show.

Our look was one of a subtle highlight under bronzed cheeks, strong contour and strong brows.

We used Studio 277 Cosmetics Matte goddess bronzer 24.50 along with matte blush mocha 10.50 for the contour and brows. On the lids we used a pinkish bronze  with a strong crease of corduroy and on the lips for two of the models we used amore red liner 6.50 and berry rock gloss 9.50. For our nude lip we used creamy lipstick russet..one of my favorites  9.50 with a sweet expressions lip liner 6.50and topped it off with our lipgloss Whisper 9.50.

REPOST How Do I find hair and make up for my wedding

Brides: How do you find hair and make up for your wedding Part:1

So you’re going to the chapel and you’re going to get married…but who’s doing your makeup and hair for that special day!!!

.So many times brides run into the dilemma  that their regular hairstylist does not come on location and they feel their only options for makeup is the local mall cosmetic counter.

Not at all the case, there are many bridal salons that specialize in making that special day run smoothly and come to you so that you nor your bridal party have to stress about the hustle and bustle of a busy salon on a weekend morning.

When you identify a mobile bridal salon what do you do next?

It’s important to make sure that the company and individual is a good fit for you.  Determine what your style and vision is for your special day.  Collect pictures and information and schedule a consultation.  A consultation is generally complimentary; it is a time to sit with the artist and get a feel for them.  To take a look at their portfolio and get feedback on the vision that you have verses the reality of what you are working with.

If you are not comfortable during your consultation then don’t feel pressured to book or purse services with the individual or company.  This is the most important day of your life; its imperative that you have a vibe and comfort level with your artist or stylist.

For destination brides consultations can be done over the phone or by email.

After you have completed your consultation and you feel comfortable; you may want to have a trial run.  A trial run typically cost but that fee is nominal in comparison the peace of mind you will get after you have nailed down your bridal hair and make up look.

What should you expect from your trial??  That is our next blog…stay tuned.

Until next time Lena G

Bridal Trends...Natural Hair doesn't mean No Options!!!

Our lovely bride Arian has natural hair; meaning no chemicals.  She wanted to achieve a soft red carpet look and add length and a bit of volume.  During her consultation I suggested that we straighten her hair and use clip on extensions.  As you can see it worked out wonderfully and she as her red carpet style without compromising her hair or adding a sew-in which in her case would have made her feel uncomfortable and bulky.
All of my brides with natural hair, you have options!!

Set up a time to chat with one of our hair designers.  Email us at lgcdinc@gmail.com ,  call 800.385.3624 or visit us online at www.absolutelygorgeousbrides.com.

Have a FABulous Night!!

Five Funky Trends for 2013

http://www.glamour.com/fashion/2012/09/spring-2013-most-wearable-fashion-trends#slide=1

Bold Stripes

Bold Stripes are in.
Did you know that  the patterns stripes where originally made for soldiers just in case they went overboard...so that they could be seen...interesting!!!

Ladies when attempting to wear stripes:

Match your body size. Keep the size of the stripe in line with the size of your body If you’re tall or full-figured, then you can wear bigger, wider stripes. Petite women should stick to small stripes that are closer together and women with a medium build should wear—you guessed it—medium stripes. Stripes can create balance..... Fuller-figured women can look for a chevron (v-shaped) stripe to call attention to the center line of your body
Layer your look. Use stripes as an element of your outfit instead of the entire look. Try a striped t-shirt under a solid-color blazer or cardigan, which “helps break up the impact of the stripes.”

Bermuda Shorts
They are back...don't get them confused with capris or cargo pants...Bermuda shorts are well tailored shorts that fall to the knees...You can Dress them Up and Dress them Down.
Did you know that they where invented for British soldiers as they ventured into more tropical weather?
Black and White
Black and white ironically is a hit for spring...you can color block, wear patterns, stripes...whatever your little heart desires but you can't go wrong!!!
Short Suites
Dressing up shorts with a jacket is another trend for the fall......add a well tailored blazer.... whaaa laaa...you have a winner
Statement Sunglasses
Need I say more.......
